Horseback Riding Lessons

Stowe Farm offers year-round horseback riding lessons for all experience levels in a supportive, structured environment led by licensed instructors.

Lessons run Monday–Thursday from 2:00–7:00 PM and are primarily small-group, with private options available. Beginners are encouraged to start with 30-minute sessions as they build strength and confidence. Riders are grouped by level and are encouraged to groom and care for their horses to develop well-rounded horsemanship.

Lesson Rates & Cancellation Policy

1 Hour Group Lesson - $55
1/2 Hour Semi-Private Lesson - $40
(Pay with cash or check and get a discounted rate!)

Cancellations require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice. Failure to provide adequate notice will result in the full lesson charge.
Any cancelled lessons must be used within 30 days of their purchase.

FAQ

​

What should we bring with us? - Hats, sunscreen, comfortable shoes, and a camera of course!  

Can we bring strollers or wagons? Unfortunately, we cannot allow strollers, diaper bags or backpacks in the orchard. You can take these items into our Kid's Corral across the street!

Can we take in outside food or coolers? No, we do not allow outside food or coolers anywhere on property. Our Buck'n BBQ and Bad Apple Saloon sell food and drinks. 

Is there food to eat at the farm? - Yes! Our Buck'n BBQ is known for it's pulled pork, brisket, hamburgers and kid's menu!

What type of payment is accepted? - Cash or card.

Do I bring my own apple bag? No, all bags for the orchard must be purchased upon arrival.

Can I bring my dog? - Per order of the Board of Health, only service dogs who perform a task are allowed. This does not include emotional support pets.

Is there poison ivy? Yes, but we do our best to manage it.

Do you have bathrooms and sinks? Yes, we have portable facilities at the orchard and Kid's Corral. 

Do you charge for parking? - No, parking is free. Buses can also be accommodated!
