Questions & Answers 
What should we bring with us?
Bring water bottles, hats, sunscreen and comfortable walking shoes. We also have some great picture taking areas so bring a camera.
Can we bring Strollers and/or pull a wagon?
Yes, strollers and small wagons are allowed. But remember, the bigger the wheels the easier it is to pull or push.
What type of shoes should we wear?
The pathways are in a field consisting of both packed and loose dirt, so sneakers or other sturdy shoes are best. No bare feet!
Is there food to eat at the farm?
Yes, The Buck n’ Barbeque serves sandwiches, hot dogs, chicken fingers, ice cream and more.
What type of payments do you take?
We take cash, Visa and MasterCard. We will accept a personal check as a form of payment for school group deposits. However, we cannot accept a check for the balance on the day of the event.
Do I bring my own apple-picking bag?
No, this is how we charge for apples. You purchase your bags from the country store prior to picking.
Can I bring a cooler to the farm?
No, we don’t allow cooler, bottles or grills on the farm. Food items can be purchased at our concession stand.
Can I bring my dog?
No, We love dogs but there are folks out there that don’t share our enthusiasm.
Do you have poison ivy?
Yes, we try our best to control poison ivy – even pulling it out with our hands. But it is almost
impossible to eradicate completely. In places where we have missed it, it will be wrapped around the trunk of a tree but does not extend out to where you will be picking the apples. If you don’t climb, you shouldn’t have much to worry about.
Can I bring my own picnic food?
No, we have a concession stand at the farm with a wide menu selection.
Do you open if it’s raining?
No, please call ahead before you pack the car.
Do the animals bite, kick or scratch?
Our animals are all very friendly and enjoy interaction, but they are still animals and if provoked, they will react.
Can you accommodate buses?
Yes, we have a field that we open for parking that will accommodate many buses.
Do you charge for parking?
No, parking is free.
Can you cater lunch?
Yes, the Buck n’ Barbeque is on the farm, equipped with a BBQ smoker and full kitchen. Advanced notice is required. Call us for a menu selection.
Do you offer tractor rides to the orchard?
No, tractor rides are an attraction offered in the kids Corral.
Do you sell pre-picked apples?
Yes, you can purchase bagged apples in the country store
Do you offer sleepovers?
Yes, we have a once a week campout for our summer camp kids.
Do you have bathrooms and sinks?
Yes, we have portable facilities located next to the country store.
Can I bring my own horse?
No, Stowe farm has 25 horses to accommodate all types of riders.
Do you offer trail rides?
Yes, but you must be a member of our horse club or a lesson student.
Are reservations required for birthday parties?
No, parties are on a general admission basis.
Can I bring my own cake to the party?
Yes, we encourage you to bring a cake & ice cream. However, we do not allow guest to bring any other food into the Corral. Food from our concession stand can be ordered.
Do you charge for adult guests or siblings attending a birthday party?
Yes. There is a general admission fee. $3 for adults, however all children under 56" are free.
Is my deposit refundable?
No,field trip deposits are charged at the time of booking and are non-refundable, however we will allow you to rebook for another day if the weather is bad.
Can I rent the entire Kids Corral for a private party?
Yes, we do accommodate private parties Monday through Friday during open season, however we can not accept reservations while our kids summer camp program is in sesssion.
How much is the deposit to book a field trip?
We require a $50 deposit.
What supplies do you provide for a birthday party?
We provide the table and the facilities. If you bring a cake and ice cream, you will be required to bring your own plates, napkins, plastic ware, and any party decoration such as tablecloths or balloons.
