Learn to Ride a Horse
Whether you are interested in learning to ride, or are hoping to refine your skills, Stowe Farm offers riding lessons at all levels.
Our Instructors and school horses are available for scheduled lessons five days a week. For safe and comfortable setting. Once riders are confident and comfortable on a horse, they may choose to ride in a group lesson.
Groups are made of eight riders or less, which ensures that all riders will continue to get one-on-one attention with their Instructor. In a group setting, riders will also have the opportunity to learn from their peers and make new friends. Of course, some riders will choose to ride in both group and private lessons to further enhance their ability.
Advanced riders who demonstrate exemplary horsemanship both on a horse and in the barn may have the opportunity to participate in our Working Student Program. As a working student, riders can earn a complimentary riding lesson each week, in exchange for working as an Instructor’s Assistant one day per week. Working students will work closely with their Instructor to learn about proper horsemanship and stable management.
